Residency in the United States

ontariostudent, the link you sent me on CaRMS was very helpful. i see that there are only a few residencies that are overly competitive (like plastics), but in most cases, students get matched to their number 1 choice.

so, basically the only advantage of going to the US is if you want to live there, like Kim. since, getting into a competitive residency here is just as tough as the US, and in the US it would be harder, since we are international students. thanks for the info. everyone, and yea i kinda hijacked Kim's thread lol...but i'll leave now

So Viggy, are you in med school right now? What school university do/did you go to?

pshh, lol, i'm just a keener. i'm in high school, but i just wanted to figure which path would be more benefitial, going to a US undergrad, then to Med school in the US and so on, or to do all that in canada

i'm planning to go to Western or McMaster though
