Steven
Ive noticed that McGill is now implementing a more strict and rigorous application process than compared to last year. In the CV, for each entry, they want total transparency about contacts, locations etc which leads to my question. If I recall correctly, last year they wanted a CV to have no more than 2-3 pages. With the new changes, I highly doubt it would be possible to be write a complete CV without it exceeding 4-5 pages. So, in the spirit of keeping the CV short, is there a penalty of anysort if I remove irrelevant entries such as unskilled part time work or minor entries? or must there be total disclosure regardless of CV size of all activities I've been doing int he past years. future_doc
Call McGill for clarification and let the forum know. 4-5 pages sounds like Wow!
justletmein
Total transparency means to disclose the exact nature of the items you list, the people involved and the work you did etc. It does NOT mean total transparency in the sense of disclosing every odd job you have ever done. 4-5 pages is too much. Cut out the crap you and I both know they dont care about.
ChurchillxThatcher
They say that the number of entries is unlimited. It's hard to tell how many entries is how many pages, but I agree that you don't need to enter the irrelevant stuff. On the other hand, maybe it would say something if they saw that you worked at MacRonald's while studying. Personal judgement call, I guess.
