fever
Hey, Just want to clarify if the CV notes/description section should be written in point form or full sentence form. Thanks in advance! I would do it in point form. They are not really evaluating your writting for this section.
icedcapp05
Thanks! I was also wondering about the "Dedication Time" for the CV entries. The minimum time given is 5 hours, however, many of my activities are 3hrs/week. Should I put approx. 5 hrs/week or leave it blank and give the specific hrs/week in the notes section? dreamer
How are you guys organizing this? Are you guys just randomly adding things, or are keeping the dates and sections consistent? I'm trying to get a nice layout, but it's so hard cause you can't easily add items in different spots...
madskillz99
How many items are you guys putting down for the CV? Because they call it a 'CV' I'm wondering if I should only be putting a few of my best items, as you would on a resume. On the other hand, should I keep the number of items consistent with other schools, i.e., 20-30 (in keeping with Alberta, Calgary...)? I'd appreciate anyone's feedback! Hey dreamer, I'd add in any ol' way as I figure it will be a spreadsheet which they will sort as they want it.

MD-TheNon-MD
I checked with the Admissions Office, they said that order does not matter as they will sort the records anyway.
nightsky
actually, i emailed the admissions too, and Lucie (the admissions office person) said it will be presented in the order that we put in. I just got this answer yesterday. when and where did you get your information from???
scissortail
two quick questions: -how far back are we allowed to go on the CV? after high school graduation? age 16? -is there a character limit for the description of each entry? dreamer
I'm wondering that. Who's putting HS stuff? I would probably put maybe 1 or 2 from HS if they were really significant. Just like for OMSAS, perhaps if you played a sport or an instrument for many years... Here's a tip for CV. I added "extra Spacers", so that I could keep each section organized, and then if I have to add in another entry in that section, I can just use the spacer. Then, I'll delete the spacers when I'm satisfied with the CV...
Moderate
So is there any consensus on whether we need to sort the entries or the system sorts them afterwards?!
