Navy101
Hi folks, Any other MMTP applicants out there who have applied to Dal? Have you also applied to other schools? I seem to remember reading a while back that there were a few MMTP applicants. Navy101
Hoote
Does anyone know if the military has already made their decision on which MMTP applicants they are sponsoring? If so, is it too late to increase my chances by upgrading my french profile (it expires over the next two months). Would that push me up the list? Thanks, Hoote
Minderbinder
The MMTP selection board usually sits in late April-early May. Bilingualism is usually an important factor, but the MMTP board also looks at the same things as your trade's merit boards.
Navy101
The MMTP selection boards sat mid December this year, primary and secondary lists have been released via msg.
Minderbinder
So they sat before most of the schools sent out their interview notices? Do you know how many seats they're sponsoring this year?
larva
Last I heard there were 4 spots this year. I didn't get one The rationale for sending out the messages in Dec is so that students who did not get accepted to MMTP could forgo their interviews and re-apply to MMTP next year. In my rejection message, it explicitly stated that even if I was to get accepted to a med school, I would not be sponsored. Of course, I'm still attending all my interviews and preparing my release just in case
TDV08
Hello colleagues, Absolutely- release or LWOP... I was not eligible for MMTP this year so I didn't apply. I'm likely turning in my stripes if I get the thumbs up from Dal...
larva
LWOP - I'm definitely considering that as well. Seems like it would be a lot simpler than a release (given that we find out mid May, and in the case of Calgary would be starting school in July) To all of you who applied to Dal good luck! I guess you will find out very soon!
