(this last point can be taken too far, this is off-topic, but I had someone say to me that only women who'd had children should do obstetrics. I kind of laughed and said that by that logic, only cancer survivors should do oncology, only athletes should do sportsmed, and I also wondered aloud who should do pathology, specifically the autopsies... ?
