leviathan
I've got a few weeks of free time before I start Internal Med, so I decided I will do a couple hours of reading a day. Any suggestions for books to read to prepare? I've heard Step Up to Medicine is good, and I have a copy of First Aid for the Wards but don't know if there's anything better out there. Lactic Folly
I like Case Files - high-yield material that I was asked about on rounds, and the case approach made it "sticky" for me.
liszt
I had to write the Medicine NBME at the end of my rotation, so my reading was a bit exam focused (but the learning was useful for the wards as well). I treated Step Up to Medicine 2 as my core text, and supplemented it with relevant Case Files, bits of Harrison's, and Toronto Notes.
