Is it necessary to have passed Part 1 before the start of residency? I hear conflicting reports on whether a resident will need to have orders cosigned if someone fails/writes it later. I'm kind of reluctant to ask my program as I may have to write it in the Fall.

hey ak81, iam in ur situation as well.I enquired this info from my program director and was told that it has no affect on ur duties as a resident.
