overgraduate
Here is the current version of my planned schedule: http://666kb.com/i/buh6bmqg35vyw0dm6.png I'm not really a morning person and I don't mind school during the evening. I was told to not have 1hr breaks, since they're completely unproductive. What do you guys think? Anything that I should change or add? This was my first version that I thought was perfect.. lol: http://666kb.com/i/buh6cuvlwv0s055v2.png
Mithril
Classes seem a bit spaced out. I like one-hour breaks for eating because I like eating. This was my first year schedule. Not perfect but I kept gaps down to a minimum.

drkwhy
1. I prefer(and i think you would too) the revised current one more than your previous one! 2. Take the organic chem and put it at 12-1!!! This way the earliest you have class is at noon. This allows you to wake up, exercise, eat, shower, study 3-4 hours before you go to school! Then when you come home, you can crash or study more on mondays and fridays and enjoy your weekend for the most part! If you're worried about eating then I shall say to you: worry not. I used to eat all the time in all my classes. I did it in the back though so it was less disturbing. I didn't care. Did you ever see that pizza pop commercial where the guy stops thinking about girls to satisfy his stomach? That says it all. 3. I like where you put your math in the 2nd schedule. Keep it that way. I had math where you used to have it(at 10am) and I never went to class cuz I either only had that one class, or had a large gap and didn't want to come to school. But then again, I had to commute like 2 hours so some days i just stayed at home for laziness sake. Don't do this. Laziness knows no bounds. I just finished my first year at utsg and what I should tell you is: prepare yourself for some intense intellectual stimulation. Good day.
drkwhy
EDIT: Didn't mean intellectual stimulation. Poor choice of words. More like: get ready to be worked and worked and worked. Intellectual stimulation MAY follow from the working that you recieved but it isn't always the case.

psychoswim
I've always avoided long gaps as much as possible.. For some reason I just can't get any work done at school during the breaks so might as well make them as short as possible!
overgraduate
Are the 3 lectures in a row realistic?
drkwhy
I don't see why not. You just might be a little restless in math.
thatonekid
Are the 3 lectures in a row realistic?Sure. Assuming you're referring to Friday, it's only 4 hours. I'd be a bit more concerned if it was 7.5 hours straight of class (worst scheduling mistake I ever made.)
apache
MWF take 3 classes, don't make them back to back, take an hour for yourself at least between every class. Take a couple T Thurs classes separated from each other or 1 TTh class and a night class on T or Th. Your attention span starts to decline at about 45 min and goes to nothing after 80 min... TheBoss
I actually found that my most productive time spent was during 1-2 hour breaks between classes, as long as it wasn't just lunch time, in which case I would waste time in the cafeteria. I also think it's better not to have to many classes in a row so your attention span doesn't break down.
Clever
Since you live on campus large spaces between classes shouldn't be a problem. If you're not a morning person like me, avoid any class that starts before 10am because you may end up not going (actually 9am should be fine for you due to no commute). Be sure to have a lunch hour where you can just eat and rest your mind (avoid studying when you eat). This may or may not suit you: Before labs if you have a class, you're less likely to procrastinate when doing your lab report because you know you won't have time to do it last minute.
