Wayne State Secondary

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I just received an email from Wayne today saying:

"Thank you for your interest in Wayne State University School of Medicine. We have your verified AMCAS application. After a preliminary review of your application, the Admissions Committee has decided to wait to review your upcoming MCAT scores before making a decision regarding a secondary application. We should receive your MCAT scores 1-2 weeks after you receive them, and decisions regarding a secondary application will be made 2-4 weeks after we receive these scores."

My question is: Does Wayne State usually give out secondaries prior to seeing an applicant's MCAT? If so, should I be worried about the fact that they chose to hold off? I'm just a little surprised that they would update me on such a detail that's all. Any insight would be much appreciated. :)
