Highest GPA + Rejection Stories

Hi Everyone,

I don't know if anyone is interested in these, but I know we all have heard stories or know of people with ridiculously high GPA's that got rejected. I was just wondering how widespread this is, and is it because they lacked extracurriculars, had bad interviews or what? Granted, a high GPA is no guarantee of admission, but unless there are serious problems with an application, I'd expect these people to get in somewhere. Any thoughts on this?
