ryanknudsen
Regarding the 60/40 rule that Western really enforces, would it be ok to take 5 300/400 level courses in my first semester of 4th year, and then take 1 300/400 level course in the second semester of my 4th year? I won't be applying to medical school until after my 4th year. The reason I am in this situation is because I want to go on exchange in the winter 2012 semester and I might only be able to take 1 3rd year course while I am there. Also, if anyone knows a UWO medicine contact email I could send this question to, please post it! I couldn't find one... Thanks!
Let'sGo1990
I'm pretty sure that as long as the 60/40 rule is fulfilled within the year, it doesn't matter how many 3rd/4th year courses you have in terms 1 and 2 as long as 6/10 of your courses end up being 3rd/4th year. So yes, it would be okay. And here's the email. It's always good to double check. admissions.medicine@schulich.uwo.ca

future_doc
I believe you will obtain an answer in the affirmative.
rmorelan
I believe you will obtain an answer in the affirmative. You will! Schools generally don't care how you arrange your 5.0 credits per academic year, only that you do. Western doesn't look at the two semesters individually.
