Guest Ian Wong
Author:*Terri Skinner Date:***11/4/2000 5:52 pm*PST * Buy a stethoscope and practice modelling it around the house, certain of your success. Decide that you never really DID want to be a doctor, and choose your second through to five hundredth alternate career path. Buy the MCAT book and study like crazy for the session next spring. Plan to apeal to your member of parliament until they do battle with those #!!**! med schools for you. Bounce between the dizzying heights of euphoria in the certainty that you will obviously be accepted and the dire depths of despair in the assuredness that yours will be the last name on their list. In other words, do exactly what the rest of us are doing...trying to live the rest of our lives while pretending that we're not expending every ounce of energy with every fibre of our being awaiting that one rotten piece of mail. Gawd but it's going to be a long, hard winter!
Guest Ian Wong
Author:*Ian Wong, MS2 Date:***11/4/2000 8:43 pm*PST * Go out and vote! Figure out which party will do the most good for healthcare, and vote for them. If you don't vote, and Canada's healthcare goes to hell, you have no one to blame but yourself. (Please excuse the short political rant) Other than that, business as usual. Also, it's not a bad idea to start reading the paper and watching the news for prepping for the interview. Heck, you should be doing that any way! Ian Can, MS2 PS: Oh yes, don't forget to have fun. Especially after the extreme aggravation of the application process itself, you've earned the right to take yourself out. Do something new today.
