igeorgex
Hey, I remember finding information (potentially on the CaRMS website) on each specialty (family, peds, uro, rads, etc...) and it would list what the daily life of that specialty was like, job satisfaction, average salary, average insurance, etc... Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't seem to find it
mm88
I think it was actually a link on CaRMS to CMA, I think this might be what you're talking about: http://www.cma.ca/becoming-a-physician

apache
psychiatrists here bill 185 per hour for counselling, 45 for medication adjustments, the figures on that sheet are grossly understated, when i was in toronto for the u of t psych thing people told me to expect 250-300 K for an adult office population... my adhd doc told me she makes over that amount (over 150) and she's on vacation like 4 months out of the year (literally) and works 40 or less hours a week. Oooh; that's really cool; thanks. 150K-ish for psych; not bad.
NLengr
The average billing is altered by the fact that you have a number of docs (new parents, near retirement, poor health) working part time.
