Is volunteering at a pharmacy or shadowing a pharmacy a must for Waterloo?

I have a bunch of extra curricular activities, just not pharmacy related. Is it a must to have something in the pharmacy field to get into uWaterloo?

Its not a must but it definitely helps because it shows the adcoms that you know what the profession of pharmacy entails. Its even better if your LOR is from a pharmacist. The best bet would be to go to different hospitals and see if they have positions in the pharmacy for you. Or, try to get a job as a pharm assistant...there are so many openings and you do not need a tech licence.
