Guest Ronin Posted June 29, 2005 Report Share Posted June 29, 2005 Hey All, Is anyone familiar with the situation for oncologists in Newfoundland? Does Memorial offer a fellowship in oncology? When I worked for the Health Care Corp. in St. John's, I seem to remember reading personnel files that showed it was incredibly hard to retain oncologists in the city (and obviously in the province). Guest clinicalchief Posted June 29, 2005 Report Share Posted June 29, 2005 I do know a recent peds grad from MUN who is now leaving the province to do a fellowship in oncology, which would lead me to believe that MUN doesn't offer one, but I can't be sure. I would imagine that oncologists are few and far between, as are many medical and surgical sub-specialty physicians.
