How canadian medical schools view distance or correspondence education courses

McGill Med school: "distance or correspondence education courses will not be considered except by special permission at discretion of the Admissions Office"

 

Does this mean an academic year with Distance education (D.E.) courses cannot be used for admissions?

 

I've also heard that U of Ottawa does not accept more than 1 D.E. course/semester.

What other med schools have restrictions on distance or correspondence education courses?

I've heard people say though that people got into med school with Athabasca degree etc
