wavygravy89
Hi, I've been interested in applying to medicine for a few years now, but I still feel like I am not close to appreciating what a career in medicine will be like. How did you find out that medicine was the path for you? Shadowing, volunteering, informational meetings with doctors, books you read (if so, I would appreciate suggestions!)? Thanks for your help. future_doc
I knew I wanted med and my volunteering, EMS, working with patients in my course internships all led to med, confirming I coped appropriately to trauma and chronic patients in a variety of situations. I used to be shy and by going out of my comfort zone, I successfully worked on this weakness.
Robin Hood
House M.D. Doctor House is my idol for medicine. (but that's not something you should say during the interview).
1234
I didn't know going into medicine. Even if you think you know, you don't until you hit residency. Even then, certain specialties make you question whether you want to do it anymore. For me, that specialty was OB/GYN.
