Ontario Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act

Here's the link from the Ontario Ministry of Finance website, detailing some of the salaries of public servants within the province. There are different links for each area of government. These include some of the salaried physicians employed in Ontario, most notably pathologists and radiologists, with a small number of radiation oncologists.

Here's the original link, which contains further links for each year:

www.gov.on.ca/FIN/english/engarchp6.htm

And this is the Link to the Disclosures page for hospital public sector employees itself, in .pdf format:

Hi

Since Radiologists make 180K-300K per year as salaried hospital employees, does this mean that Radiologists in private practice make like 500-600K per year?

Secondly are there salary caps as to the maximum amount physicians in Ontario can bill? I've heard 350K in gross billings for Family Physicians and 450K for specialists. Are these gross billing caps still in place despite the big shortage?

Thanks for posting the info Ian :)

On a side note seeing what some of my profs earn (in the university disclosure act) puts them right at doctor salaries with an awesome pension and low hours to boot :)

Take care

Yeah, many/most physicians do make in that range. It ain't that low. . . it's certainly better than the $0.00 I'm making now as a med student.
