reation
How do medical school treat a course for which your transcript says "N.C" as in not completed? Would they want to see the final grade for the course or what
future_doc
Is that equivalent to a failure in terms of GPA, etc.?
reation
I have no idea. It says N.C. for a course taken on a letter of permission.
ArchEnemy
I'm guessing it means non-credit? ie. that credit does not contribute to your degree. Read through your transcript guide for its meaning. If it is indeed non-credit, UofT will automatically drop that as your lowest credit if you qualify for the weighting formula. reation
I don't think those two courses are used towards my average. One was never taken and should thus not even appear on my transcript. I don't know why it says N.C. for the other course. Both were letter of permission. oops_letstryagain
This also appears for courses that are in progress when you print your transcript. I think this is meant to show that you didn't withdraw but that you haven't been awarded the credits or the mark for that course. It also serves a functional purpose in that it doesn't allow you to forge letter and number grades to those courses since NC is written instead of leaving the grade spot blank. reation
so I'm guessing Med schools will require grades for those courses?
rmorelan
so I'm guessing Med schools will require grades for those courses? Not if your school doesn't - if there is credit weight of 0 for them you don't have to include them at all basically.
future_doc
They cannot require grades for courses where there are no grades. And from what you say, it does not affect your GPA. I would imagine, they would require an explanation. When one audits a course, what, if anything, shows up on the transcript?

That is very much school dependent
