I'm the same! I'm not fair and freckled but makeup looks really weird on me. Everytime I try foundation or lipstick, I look ridiculous. I own mascara, eye liner, and VASELINE! I will spend money on my boyfriends birthday and our anniversary, and the usual starbucks once a week or so.
