cleanup
Can someone explain how this transcript stuff even works if you're a third year student? AKA I'm not eligible to apply to 4/5 schools that I want to pick lol (lack of prereqs, 4- year degree etc.). You don't have to select 5 if you don't want to. And no, schools won't keep your scores year to year.
dentall
So basically we miss out on the "free transcripts" if you're not applying that same year... Well that sucks. Thanks! The process of ordering transcripts is very easy and pretty cheap. If you're worried about the few bucks a DAT transcript costs, I'd recommend you look at dental school tuition. zeroNINE
They are sent out when the Tests are marked. There's no reason to send the February DAT to Canadian schools because it's usually too late for the same cycle; interviews are usually in March-April anyway so not enough time to make decisions for interview offers. American schools make more sense and are willing to re-visit your file after receiving an updated DAT, but as always, confirm with the school. dentall
Actually, USask will accept the Feb DAT, so they need the scores ASAP. The purpose of the Feb DAT is to provide another opportunity to write the exam, not make sense in terms of relativity to admissions deadlines. Parachute
Is anyone not doing the manual dexterity section? I didn't select it on my application. And if you e-mailed them and they said you don't need it, that should be okay? But I'm still worried...

And if you e-mailed them and they said you don't need it, that should be okay? But I'm still worried... The whole reason they added the optional MD was for schools like UWO and UoT. It will not negatively impact your application in any way.
