Hey Everyone,

I'm very curious to know about how much PBL U of A incorporates into its medical program. I'm coming out of 4th year at Queen's and I feel that a periodic change from non-stop lectures would be refreshing. Can anyone shed light on this issue?

Thanks,

AM

There is definitely a pile of PBL in first year. At least, I think. They switch up the groups each block, so you get to meet a lot of people.

Cheers,

PBL usually occurs 1-3 times per week, depending on the block (in first year anyway) and lasts for about 1-2 hrs/session. It's definitely a good way to keep you on top of things before the final/midterms and is a good refresher of the week's lectures.

Hope this helps!
