MyTeethArgon Posted August 26, 2012 Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 Hi, I'm entering my undergrad coursework into UCAN, but I'm slightly confused by the Course Weights listed in the application. What should I select for a year-long course (worth 1 credit at my home university)? I'm not sure if I should select '6 credits = 1.00' or '1 credit = 0.27'? Similarly, for a 0.5 credit at my home university, should I select '3 credits, 1 semester = 0.5'? Confused about credits vs. weights as written in this application... Thanks for any insight! BonIver Posted August 26, 2012 Report Share Posted August 26, 2012 So in alberta a half course(one semester) is worth 3 credits. So five courses gives you 15 credits a semester. A "one semester" course is also called a half course equivalent which is equal to 0.5 full course equivalents.
