lol, and i couldn't even get into the faculty of sciences, i think i wanted to do clinical psychology until third year, transferred to science in fourth...

Shouldn't all pre-meds be obsessed with the MCAT? Legend has it my great great great great great great great grandfather was Hippocrates so you could say I was born to become a doctor. Word is, I was born reciting the Hippocratic oath ;)

if i had a science background when i wrote it im sure i would have come close... if it were kept the same i think my max could hit 42-43T 13-15-14-T probably... it's hard to imagine not getting a t on writing to be honest... worse case would have to be an s

If you guys who ask your friends/colleagues with these amazing scores about how they studied/prepped for the MCAT and posted here or PMed me what they said, it would be blessed. :o

Luck as in your performance variables on the day of your exam. So luck affected by nervousness? Anxiety etc.

Sure - plus those exams cannot cover all the material they potentially can so there is some luck in the sense that you might be questions related to your own areas of interest/study.

For instance my test had questions on computer science and economics - two topics I have degrees in so that was a bit of an edge.

Wow, that's awesome!

I suppose looking back on it, I actually had a few VR passages that were interesting to me as well! (Truly a rare exception to most of the VR passages that I've read, lol)

Yeah I know right, + - 2 or 3 is pretty common. What about BS and PS?

I never found luck to be as big a factor in those questions. You're either right or you're wrong. Ultimately there is still some luck involved if you have to guess a question though.

I agree with Savac. I think there's less luck involved with PS/BS. Just in case this helps someone out in terms of thinking about the variability, I went and found my practice test stuff:

8 - July 21 - 15/11/13 (39)

9 - July 28 - 13/14/13 (40)

7 - Aug 4 - 15/13/13 (41)

11 - Aug 6 - 11/11/12 (34)

10 - Aug 11 - 13/11/11 (35)

5 - Aug 13 - 13/13/13 (39)

Actual test - Aug 16 - 14/11/14 (39)
