placenta
If you are in 3rd-year clerkship and a core-rotation preceptor agrees to write you a letter, let's say in October, do you keep the letter and wait until next year to send it out, or can you still send it out to CaRMS with the following (https://www.carms.ca/pdfs/Instruction_sheet_for_early_references_en.pdf)? Sorry, I have not gone through the process yet and am curious to know how the letter-businnes works! Thanks!!

In my experience they normally mail it out usually a bit later on once you actually create the account - less mess that way. You just make sure you ask them to write it now when they still remember details that make the letter "pop out" and store it for later use.
