Best Basic Science Books

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! I know that most schools will have their own book list for the pre-clinical years, but I was looking to get some input from all over the place on the best books for the basic sciences. If willing, would med students comment on what books are best for each subject? Thanks.

the only absolute imo is

an anatomy atlas -- it's just so convenient to be able to see the anatomy parts on paper when you're not looking at the cadaver

-- imo best is netter's anatomy atlas

everything else you can pretty much read as necessary from e-books

e.g. cecil essentials of medicine for general medical knowledge

robbin pathlogic basis of disease for pathology

guyton and hall for medical physio

moore's clinical anatomy for functional sides on anatomy
