ABS strategies?

Hi,

 

Can any of those people who have applied previously share some of their strategies with composing the ABS section of OMSAS? On my end, I'm grouping things as much as possible (ie listing different volunteer positions in a hospital under one item for hospital volunteering); picking items that demonstrate commitment and unique attributes; and using short forms to save on characters.

I agree with everything you said except grouping your different volunteer positions. If you can talk about different things that you learned in the different positions, perhaps one had patient contact while another involved more organizing fundraisers for example, then you should list them differently. If they taught you different skills and you had different responsibilities, then list separately. If it was the same position just in different areas of the hospital then group
