Family medicine program comparison

I am a student at U of MB and I want to be a family doctor. I looked back 15 pages on this sub-forum and couldn't find a good thread comparing the various family medicine residency programs across Canada. Are there any major differences between the programs in Western Canada vs Ontario vs the East? Are there any programs which are particularly competitive? Which programs stand out in terms of quality or innovation?

Programs in big cities, Toronto and Vancouver, are filled in the 1st iteration, and I would consider them to be more competitive. Are they better in quality??
