Tell me about yourself VS. Who are you?

Hi,

I know the question "tell me about yourself" has been addressed and discussed in several other threads, but I in practising, I came upon the question "who are you"?

Now, would these 2 questions be one and the same? Or would "who are you" focus more on personal traits/characteristics, rather than the "what have you done/accomplished/learned" that is often associated with "tell me about yourself"?

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Just a side note about Ottawa...

I know someone who was accepted off the waitlist the day before classes started (orientation actually) in the end of August...

She'd been told she was waitlisted way far down in May/June and then heard absolutely nothing until she got a letter the day before school started telling her she was accepted and she had to confirm the acceptance by the next day. She lived in Ottawa so the letter was only mailed a day or two before she got it.

so... it happens...
