Guest Kirsteen
Hi there mydream88, was wondering what the surgeon decided to do in the scenario you described? Apparently this doctor was a member of the board that was called to investigate this case of possible negligence. He did not mention whether or not the surgeon in question had admitted the mistake to the patient. However, when I asked the doctor how this was resolved and who would be held accountable, he surprised me by saying that it was the operating nursing team that was found responsible since they are supposed to call back the numbers of implements used during the procedure. Only once the doctor hears that all tools are accounted for were they supposed to close up the patient. :rolleyes Cheers, Kirsteen
