verification form: subject to further verification

Hi there. Just received my Verification Form from OMSAS today, and was wondering if mine has a complication. One of my years of university was done in Europe, and no GPA is given on the report (it states N/C for "non convertible"). Below the university summary, there is no number given for "Cumulative Converted Average" and there is a note that "Your file is subject to further verification by each individual medical school." I only have a converted average for my undergraduate years in Canada.

I was wondering if everyone or anyone else has such comments on their report.

By the way, if anyone has applied through OMSAS before with a year of foreign grades like myself (where OMSAS identifies the year as an "exchange," if I remember correctly), how did the universities consider this year with respect to GPA calculation? OMSAS said that the GPA from abroad wouldn't be used for the calculation, but it seems like they are leaving it open for the individual universities to decide.

<pagetext>i just got my omsas verification form. does anyone know what "sc" means under the postsecondary education part? i think i remember it might be "scale" - but mine changes from 9 to 7 and i'm not sure why, since i've only gone to one university.

also, do we only need to send the form back if something needs changing?

thanks!

I dont know about the scale situation, but under 'applicant's signature' it says "do not return this form if changes are not required." If no changes, then dont send!

Even if you've only been to one university, the scale they use can change. Like at U of C, for example, the scale changed when they introduced the A+ grade a couple of years ago.

I believe "len" means "length", as in what percentage of a full course load do you have per year. For example, for each year, I have 10.0, representing a full course load (5 full credits at UofT).
