C_Mac
For those of you who have/are applying to Western PT, does Western accept BIOL 235 at Athabasca as satisfying the half course requirement for Physiology? I'd like to take 235 instead of 230 to get some general background anatomy knowledge but I don't want to do so if the course won't be accepted by Western. Thanks. PTapplic
You're best to contact OT admissions office for the answer. A lot of times they like to see PHYSIOL as the course code, or else its up to you to prove that the course is equivalent to physiology. For the most part, they want it to cover basic physiology like "properties of the living cell and the internal environment; neural, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal and endocrine systems; metabolism; reproduction; and homeostasis." So if its not inclusive I would stick with a physiology course. To be sure contact the OT office though.
