medicallyinclined Posted July 31, 2015 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2015 I guess that would help! Ive been interested in Forensic Pathology forever. I currently work in the field. I guess my questions are as follows: 1) Whats the job market? (for FP but also Anatomical Path) 2) How much autonomy do you have in your practice? How much do hospital managers interfere with your day-to-day work with issues of things such as turn around times? I feel in my current position I am often forced to push for quick turn around times at the expense of patient care. 3) Salary. I am in quite a bit of debt already from my studies (professional degree student). Will be going into plenty more as I do not come from money. Will I be able to manage-ably pay of my debt in this profession? 4) Future of the job itself. With the recent rumors of Resident cutbacks I feel like Pathology is bound to take a hit in the near future. Should I be studying for the USMLE and aiming for positions in the states? 5) I am also a little bit interested in Radiology if anyone has any Rads vs Path opinions.
