bluejays99
Hello, I would like to know if doing an elective in Gatineau could help me get a residency spot at McGill's paediatrics program or do you have to do your elective at the CUSM directly or at least in Mtl in order to have a better chance at their university? thanks a lot
Bambi
If you get face time in a paediatric elective with a good LOR, it definitely will help you for CaRMS. I cannot see it being otherwise.
bluejays99
hello, even if Gatineau is pretty far away from McGill's campus?
redmarshmallow
Gatineau is a much smaller city, but since you get to work with staff directly one-on-one, you'll get a much better LOR. And you get to do much more too! Clinical teachers appointed at Gatineau are known to the McGill people in Montreal as well.
