Neuro Ct Textbook Recommendations

Recommended Posts

I'm on my first CT body rotation of residency now, and other than anatomy I've been reading Body CT by Webb. It's a very solid base...I know it doesn't cover things in the depth I'll need down the road but it was a super accessible book and helped a ton with this rotation, plus it can be read pretty easily within a month.

I have my first Neuro CT block next month. Again, I'll be focused on anatomy but I'm looking for a recommendation for a similar book to Webb for Neuro CT...something that's fairly easy to read, covers most of the bread and butter pathology and I would be able to get through it at a reasonable (15 pages/night) pace in a one month block. Any suggestions?

Interpretation of Emergency Head CT: A Practical Handbook

By Erskine J. Holmes, Anna C. Forrest-Hay, Rakesh R. Misra

Emergency CT Scans of the Head: A Practical Atlas

These are mostly focused on ER but meet the focus on CT imaging and brevity better than Neuroradiology: The Requisites which is the other main textbook used by residents on the neuro rotation. The neuro section of Brant and Helms has also been recommended, and may provide more detail (if not images) than the above.
