Hey - so I know that medical schools in Canada are all generally very good. However, the states have a more tiered system in terms of the quality of med education. In terms of matching to a residency spot in the US, I am aware that where you did your med school may actually play a factor in how well you match. In the case that I want to do residency in the US, does coming from McGill bode well for me?

I guess my question is how does McGill's reputation and prestige compare against the tiered system in the states? Will I be able to match well? How does U of T compare? Some of my friends in the states said they have heard of McGill, but not sure how it benches against US med schools.

Tout le monde sait que UdS est l’école la plus réputée au Canada
