How likely is it to get an interview after a rejection?

I just got a rejection letter from UofOttawa. I applied to the French stream. The email says that if a spot opens up, I could get invited. How likely is this to happen?

Mine says the same. I think all of them do right? Can someone confirm? I am scared to keep my hopes up.

Last year I actually got an interview off the waitlist. They called me the day before the interview lol so I literally had no time to prepare. I do think it is a generic statement but they do in fact call a few people.

(I literally had less than 24 hours to prepare and hadn't done much prep before so I didn't get in but it was a lesson to prep ahead of time if you really want a career in med - just gotta keep going)

Out of curiosity, did you apply to English or French stream?
