How useful would a co-authorship credit be, non-life sciences subject?

Hi,

non-Life sciences major here, involved in "health sciences adjacent" research, if I can call it that. Not life sciences but the topic is related to healthcare.

how useful would a co-authorship credit on a research article/policy paper in this field be, for med schools applications? Topic interests me regardless and its impact on applications would not affect my decision to participate, but curious.

I am pretty sure that will look on your application any where you apply.
