lado1234
Hey all, I'm looking for a pair of plano/non-prescription glasses for a friend. Does anyone know a place in Toronto that sells them cheap (ie lenses and frames for under $100 ) ? Lol, she needs them just to wear as an accessory - not prescription. Thanks

Thanks you can order online glasses that are pretty good actually for well under 50 dollars now. They just mail them to you.
Lactic Folly
you can order online glasses that are pretty good actually for well under 50 dollars now. They just mail them to you. Plus this price can include thin lenses, coating, and are prescription - the differential from a conventional optical is pretty impressive. Birdy
I recommend Zennioptical.com. Good even for prescription glasses; I have several from there and ClearlyContacts.ca. You can get Plano ones easily enough.
cleanup
Warby Parker and Clearly Contacts are my go-tos. If you want a full-fledged no-questions-asked refund/exchange policy, go with Clearly. Otherwise, visit a cheap market like Kensington Market and you'll probably find a lot of crappy $5 frames with clear lenses. Though I never did understand wearing non-prescription glasses for fashion purposes.
danmac
Check out clearly contacts. They sometimes have glasses for $49 and you really can't go wrong with them.
ellorie
I use Zenni too. Great value.
CC36
I've seen prescription and non prescription glasses at the dollar store. My coworker has been using them just for reading and seems to be fine.
Med Eye
Check out Dresden vision - Australian company which uses recycled plastic - very cool and pretty reasonably priced around $50 I think.
SB Optical
Check out SB Optical - Toronto. They have a wide range of branded collection at an affordable rate. Their experienced optometrists will guide you to choose one according to your condition.
No Name Brand
EyeBuyDirect is another good option. Great value and decent quality. Often have BOGO sales as well. Can get a good pair (or two!) for $50-100.
