May 10 Email - Questions

I don't know if this has been directly asked before but I couldn't find a clear answer. If you are on the waitlist, do you get an attachment with the email? Or are attachments only for rejection/acceptance emails?

 

Is the waitlist position disclosed in the initial email or in a follow-up email?

 

I think the subject line was previously mentioned as being just the name of the school, was that still the case in last year's application cycle (if anyone from that cycle is around here)?

I can't help you with your wait list question, but I can tell you the subject line of the email (at least from last year) was "NOSM Admissions". I was rejected and I did not receive an attachment. It said, "You will be receiving a formal hard copy letter via mail within the next few days."

 

 Hopefully someone else can chime in about the wait list info.

Ranked waitlisted applicants receive an email with an attached document that contains your position on the waitlist.  The subject line as far as I can remember says "Northern Ontario School of Medicine".

Thanks Lifeisawesome and Rural_Roots for your input. So, so far we have:

 

NO attachment:

 

1) rejection email

 

With attachment

 

2) waitlist email

 

And I am assuming acceptances always come with attachments. This gives me a bit of heads up before opening the email, not sure how that helps lol but it's most just curiosity at this point.

Yes, admissions offers come with attachments (at least they have in previous years).
