Multiple publications in research

If I published more than one paper but from a single research activity (as a summer student), would I put each publication as a separate entry since they were on different projects? 

If so, would I use the same description for each repeated entry (e.g. Summer research student at xxx institute) or should I put something like (1/3) to show that they're not exactly the same...?

I would put them separately even if they were similar. I had similar descriptions for different publication entries, but I believe a publication is a big deal and each one merits its own entry. However if you had different roles (you know the author contributions required by journals?) for those publication, you can make those distinctions
