dundermifflen
Compared to dental schools in Ontario (~50k) and medical school in the states (~100k)
bearded frog
It's somewhat subsidized, compare the U of T tuition at 100k for international students. Dental school includes $10000 for dental instruments (https://www.dentistry.utoronto.ca/node/1121). US tuition varies a lot among schools, that 100k you quote is the absolute maximum, and for non-US students because their schools are also subsidized. Schools like wayne state will be much less for us citizens. Other schools are more in the $50k range for both us and canadian students. Medical school in the US is generally more expensive because there are a lot more less-subsided private schools. State schools are generally cheaper, for instance. dundermifflen
James Nystead
US state schools are subsidized by Medicaid US private schools and state schools for OOS students arent subsidized I believed Medicine tuition is heavily subsidized, Im not sure if dental tuition is at all. Dental students also get a lot of dental tools included as part of the 50K in first year. If you think Ontario tuition is cheap, look up tuition in Quebec or Alberta. On elective, I had staff from other provinces be shocked at the rate of tuition Ontario charges
