Redpill
If the latest Air is compatible with the Apple Pencil then that's all you need
orgolover
Save you money and get Air. Both Pro and Air has X12 chip and the performance is essentially the same.
shady
Neither is necessary and you can get by the basic iPad which also supports the pencil. So to answer your question: totally up to you and what you prefer
takasugi
Is an iPad necessary? I only have a laptop and thought that would be enough but a lot of people seem to be getting iPads. Should I also get a tablet/ipad?
DocBrown9
Having a tablet is definitely not necessary. I will say it can be helpful during clerkship as it's easier to carry around than a laptop. Works great as a hard surface to write notes on and look up stuff on up-to-date. Some hospitals even have apps for their emr.
