PTvibes
Hey all, I’m currently starting my clinical masters of physiotherapy program and just took my MCAT this summer. I noticed a lot of Canadian MDs don’t let you apply in until you’ve finished your masters. I’m wondering if any do not have this rule? -Thanks guys
MedicineLCS
Ottawa, Mac, and Queens IIRC. This is a pretty common question so you should find some discussion for various schools. You may need someone to write a letter saying they're fine with you bailing on your PT program though, depending on the rules, but double check that for sure. PulsusParadoxus
Memorial also allows you to apply while in a graduate program.

Thanks for the reply, I emailed Queens admissions and they said that you need to be able to defer course work for your masters in order to be considered. So I think that means you still have to complete it? My program unfortunately goes two years until mid September so I can’t apply next year due to that last clinical placement, although I’ll have to see if I can’t defer that.
