Sun_Moon
Hello, New to the thread. I was going through an older thread (2014) discussing the application score breakdown of successful OOP applicants (please see below). Is it really this competitive? I am an OOP applicant hence the interest. These are the average scores for successful OOP applicants (numbers are from my wait list email) : Average GPA = 4.0 (15/15) Average MCAT = 32 (8/10) Average Supplemental/Essay = 30/35 Average MMI = 33/
Scrubadubdub
Hope not, there is very little room for error there.
Chels1267
The OOP pool is fairly competitive, however the waitlist moves a lot so it compensates a bit. The last two years they started combining scores for all pools so it's difficult to say what the averages for the OOP has been recently. There's hundreds applying - most of them apply because they know they have stellar stats. Then they cherry pick 60-100 of the best for the interview, and have to pick 10 out of those, so yeah, it's a tough crowd. Actually that MCAT seems low at an equivalent of 512... if you look at places like MB or SK which have similar number of OOP seats the minimum MCAT is between like 522 and 528... if that's any consolation.
