just_a_dude0627
So my BC services card just recently expired, and when I went in to get it renewed they told me that due to COVID-19, the mailing of my new card will be significantly delayed. I have an interim card along with photos of my old card, but UBC said neither of these is sufficient to prove BC residency. I emailed them explaining my circumstances but I'm not really sure what to do. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this before? Dr. Monkey
Honestly, you've got yourself in quite the pickle. UBC has to stick to it's policy so they may not budge. They would hope you had the foresight to sort this out. I'd say call services Canada and explain the situation and literally beg them to somehow expedite your card or perhaps they can send you pictures or a scan of the card its self. Otherwise, if you meet the GPA requirements you can still apply as out of province.
Fast_Layne
^^^ If begging doesn't work, just upload your interim card and perhaps write an explanation at the end of your application? Obviously, if they decide to reject it, you'll be considered out-of-province anyways, but it's worth a try
