Include that I am currently a medical student and applying or not

Hi, 

As my strange title suggests, I was wondering if people could give me some advice on whether or not I should include currently being an M1 in a USMD school on my applications for Canadian schools?

I was wondering if this makes me look like a better candidate as I all ready have some idea about what it takes to survive medical school or if it makes me look like im wasting people's time.

I don't think you have a choice as they will require all transcripts.

I think they all require transcripts as stated above, and I think also directly ask if you have matriculated at medical school before. In any case it would be a blank space on your CV regardless. I think you should mention it because while I don't think it would hurt you, you should be able to articulate why you want to start over again in Canada.

I just found this out:

The letter should clearly address why the move to a new and different medical school is necessary and compelling, and what is unable to be addressed at the current/previous medical school.

I dont recall seeing this before on their site, and im super bummed about this... I'm going to write the letter because i truly have valid reasons beyond financial but the way this is worded seems like they're saying they wont accept the application?

Write a compelling letter and cross your fingers. Don't count on "gaming" the system.
