ppapaye
Hi! A friend (also in cégep) who's applying to McGill for next fall told me that the earlier you apply, the higher your chances of getting accepted are? Is that true? I have never heard of this and have not found any information on the website about that. She told me that someone at the open house said that.. jb24
Not sure, but in the US it is true, as they have "rolling admissions"... But not sure if any schools in Canada do that.
abcd1288
No. There's no rolling admissions in Canada. The only thing you get is that your file gets reviewed earlier (in case of proving you are a QC resident, etc.).
rmorelan
Fortunately Canada blocks that sort of nonsense - rolling admissions truly is a bit of a mess as it leads to potentially being accepted at a school while you are waiting to find out about another school you would rather go to - forcing you to make a choice. It also creates this unfortunate pressure on both the school and the applicants.
