user6952
No good reason why I didn't. But I did submit my CV which provides all the same details I would've entered. Thoughts?
takasugi
Did you just forget?
CGreens
Probably depends on the individual programs. If they asked for a custom CV, not inputting on carms probably does not matter. However, some programs note that they will not look at custom CVs and use the carms printout. If you are worried, look at the requirements for each individual program you applied for. yobologna
My understanding was some programs look at your custom CV and others look at the CaRMS CV. E.g. Western FM doesn't ask for a CV but they do state that they evaluate your extracurriculars so I assume that is based on your CaRMS CV. Hopefully it doesn't impact you too much but tough to say. medbruh
Didn’t input anything beyond mandatory stuff on the carms portal last year and matched to a competitive specialty/program so I think you’ll be fine. I did however upload the CV and attached it with every application.
ChemPetE
Have done file reviews many years (but not this year). I was always provided Carms direct entry data and original CV. Might have popped an eyebrow but so long as people given both probably not the biggest deal…
