Angela Tithi
Hello to all! I have recently immigrated to Canada and currently living in Calgary as a Permanent Resident. I have completed my undergrad in Computer Science and Engineering in my home country (cGPA - 3.45/4.00, passing year - 2019). I want to study Medicine here in Canada and my target is the Cumming School of Medicine at Calgary. I know my cGPA is low and also that I have to take the prerequisite courses. For this, I applied for a second undergrad in Neuroscience at UCalgary. Unfortunately, my application was not approved. Do you have any suggestions on how I can upgrade my cGPA? Will taking courses as a non-degree student help? Also, if I take the prerequisite courses or do my second undergrad at Mount Royal University (in Calgary) or any other community college - will it affect me negatively in my Med School application? Thanks and May God bless you!
Bambi
What is important is your GPA for your 2nd undergrad degree, not the university you attend.
